Sr. Systems Analyst

Responsibilities for the position will initially be involved in maintaining and enhancing C# code running on hand-held and CE devices in a production environment, with some work in eVB also being required to support older systems. The applications being supported use XML, MSMQ, OPC and SQL Server extensively. The maintenance of some VB 6.0 applications that use DCOM extensively will also be a responsibility. In conjunction with hardware obsolescence, a transition to more current .NET technologies and Web Services (.NET or SAP MII) is currently underway and existing VB 6.0 applications are being migrated to the new platform. Working in a team environment, the successful candidate will be responsible for analysis, design, implementation and support of any new systems developed in house utilizing .NET and SAP MII technologies. In certain cases, managing projects from inception to completion will be required. The majority of the applications the selected candidate will be working with are part of a complex lot tracking system in a production environment, so experience in this area is a plus.
Basic Qualifications include BS/BA degree* in Information Systems or related major with six (6) years applicable systems analysis and systems development experience; or BS/BA degree* with seven (7) years applicable systems analysis and systems development experience; or Associates degree in Information Systems with seven (7) years applicable systems analysis and systems development experience. (Related Information Technology experience and programming courses will be considered and may in some circumstances be acceptable.) *Education, experiences, training and certifications will be considered and may in some circumstances be acceptable in lieu of a BS/BA degree.
Experience in all aspects of system’s lifecycle from design through development, coding, testing, implementation, and ongoing support. Design experience with online or database applications in complex computer systems; experience in planning, organizing, and prioritizing multiple projects independently; experience in providing guidance and training to systems development personnel; competent oral and written communication and presentation skills along with effective interpersonal skills is essential.
The following skills are preferable:
1) Knowledge of manufacturing processes and terminology along with experience in implementing Manufacturing systems
utilizing Microsoft C# technologies.
2) Experience in designing and implementing solutions using Windows Embedded Operating Systems (CE or windows
Mobile) in a manufacturing environment.
3) Experience in designing and implementing solutions using C#.NET Web Services.
4) Expert knowledge of general Web technologies, XML, HTML, JavaScript, etc.
5) Experience with interfacing to plant floor devices: RFID, Bar Code, PLC’s, etc., using C#.NET.
6) Experience developing C#.NET applications that use Microsoft MSMQ Messaging technologies.
7) Experience developing SQL queries, Stored Procedures, and Views in various database types including: MS
SQLServer and Oracle.
8) Experience in designing and developing programs for event-driven processes.
9) Good working knowledge of the Microsoft Windows Architecture, including: Terminal Services and Virtual Server
environments and a working knowledge of TCP/IP and general networking,
10) Strong troubleshooting skills in resolving interface issues between systems.
11) Strong documentation skills creating Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for stand-alone systems in regard to both
daily and disaster recovery backup.
The following skills are a plus:
1) Experience with OPC servers and Plant Data Historians.
2) Knowledge of Kepware and Wonderware suite of products and various PLCs.
3) Knowledge of Microsoft development tools including MS Project, Visual Source Safe, and Visio.
4) Experience in implementing solutions using SAP Manufacturing Integration and Intelligence (MII).
5) Experience with SAP Business Objects/Crystal Reports.
